Introduced Asus NUC 14:

Asus has expanded its NUC 14 lineup with the introduction of the Asus NUC 14 Performance mini-PC. This compact powerhouse is equipped with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H ‘Meteor Lake’ processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 desktop GPU, making it a formidable choice for the business market. The device supports up to five 4K displays and promises to deliver “power, efficiency, and style.”

A Closer Look at the Specs and Design

The Asus NUC 14 Performance bears a striking resemblance to the ROG NUC gaming devices, albeit with a more professional aesthetic. It features the same processing options and compact 70 x 180 x 50mm (2.5 liter) chassis. The port selection and components, including Killer Wi-Fi 6E and Realtek ALC256 audio, are identical to its gaming counterparts. However, the business-focused NUC 14 Performance lacks the customizable “addressable backlit ROG panel” and the ROG logo on the front, replaced with a simple black quadrilateral.

Performance and Pricing

The official product pages for the Asus ROG NUC, unveiled at CES in January, confirm the hardware specs. The ROG NUC with an Intel Core 7 155H, discrete RTX 4060, and 0.5TB of storage is priced at $1,629. The higher-end model with an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H, discrete RTX 4070, and 1TB storage is listed at $2,199. Given the removal of RGB features, the Asus NUC 14 Performance pricing should be lower, though it may carry a premium due to its business and enterprise target market.

Additional NUC 14 Models

As the official custodians of the NUC line, Asus has also introduced more traditional ‘4×4’ NUC 14 models, namely the NUC 14 Pro and NUC 14 Pro+. These Meteor Lake devices, revealed in March, are priced at $394 and $896, respectively. Despite a slow rollout, these 4×4 NUC 14 mini-PCs have recently become available in retail.

With its combination of high-performance components and sleek design, the Asus NUC 14 Performance is set to make a significant impact in the business mini-PC market.
